Biography:

Sean Maddocks is a California attorney and graduate of UC Berkeley and UCLA School of Law. Mr. Maddocks is well-versed in California’s cannabis regulatory framework and he has represented dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers, patients, and caregivers in various aspects of California’s cannabis industry. He is the co-founder and general counsel of Green Consulting Partners, which is a consulting firm specializing in cannabis licensing and regulatory compliance.

Mr. Maddocks puts a strong emphasis on client relationships and is proud to have assisted clients in obtaining approval for over 100 licenses throughout California. Working with clients across varying jurisdictions has given Sean the experience needed to help clients comply with nuanced local and state regulatory requirements.

Sean’s expertise involves combining his precision as a licensed attorney with the insight of a leading venture capitalist; he has successfully assisted clients to obtain business licenses from nursery to retail, drafted comprehensive investment offerings, and has developed a dynamic network within the industry. Mr. Maddocks’ skillset includes advising start-ups, structuring contracts, compliance advisement and review, business counseling and facilitating transactions.
